How Do My Topps 3-D Live Cards Come To Life?

Topps 3D Live stickers and albums come to life with the help of your webcam. They will appear in the following ways:

• The 3D Live Players stand on top of your stickers or your album
• When you play the penalty shoot out challenge, the 3D Live Players stand on the grass and you can control them with your stickers.

Troubleshooting Your Web Camera

I am sure that I have installed the 3D Live software correctly, but I cannot see any video or I get an error message when starting the software.

• Make sure that your webcam is plugged in and is installed correctly.
• Make sure that your webcamsoftware is turned on before starting to use Topps 3D Live.
• Make sure that the only video that you see is the video inside the Topps 3D Live Frame.
• Topps 3D Live works with most of the USB web cameras. It is not compatible with SD firewire camcorders.

My video is blurry or goes in and out of focus

• If your web camera has auto focus, turn it off.
• Otherwise rotate the lens ring clockwise or counterclockwise to adjust the focus manually.
• Sometimes there is a thin film over the new webcams that is placed there to protect the lens during shipping. Make sure this film has been removed.

The lighting in my webcam seems too bright/dark.

• Many cameras use auto light sensors that adjust the light based on the background. You may need to turn off the automatic setting control in your software and adjust the light in the background

Software Installation

During installation, I see a yellow ActiveX bar at the top of my screen and the installation appears to freeze.

• Click on the ActiveX Tab at the top of the screen and follow the instructions. You might also need to close Firefox web browser if it is open.

• No, it is only the first time you install the D'Fusion plug-in. Any other start-up will happen directly through the browser.

Sticker And Album Recognition

How close should I hold the stickers and albums to get it to initialize?

• When using a sticker, hold the card steady about 15 cm in front of the camera.
• When using the album, hold it about 40 cm in front of the webcam

I'm having trouble getting the stickers and albums to be recognized. Are there any tips to get them working correctly?

• Not every sticker in the Topps Premier League 2010 collection works. Only specific stickers can be rought to life. Make sure that the sticker that you are using is the one that you selected from the list.
• Hold the sticker or album like you would hold a photograph, try not to cover them up with you hand or fingers while showing it to the webcam.

Positioning The Sticker / Album And Optimal Play

General Advice

• Make sure that there is not a lot of light reflecting off of the sticker / album and into the camera. It can make positioning the sticker / album more difficult.
• If you lose the tracking, simply put it back in front of the camera to reinitialize it.
• Depending on the quality and speed of your webcam, moving the sticker / album too fast in front of the camera can cause the tracking to be lost. It may take a couple of seconds to get used to, but after a little practice you will be able to tilt and move the target without losing tracking.
• Make sure that the sticker / album that you want to play with is the one that you have selected from the list

Album Cover Experience

• Once the cover is recognized, move the cover smoothly in front of the camera and watch as the cover magically comes to life

Sticker Experience

• When you see yourself in the screen, show the sticker towards the webcam face up (player picture up) and watch as the sticker magically comes to life. The sticker face will magically drop down to reveal a platform for your player to stand on.
• Each sticker has its own interactive game to play. When you are ready to play the game, click PLAY NOW with your mouse. Then, show your sticker to the webcam again to play.

• This message means that there is no webcam installed on your PC
